Summer and Fall are filled with weddings, parties, and other gatherings that are worthy of getting all glammed up! Here are some tips and tricks to ensure your entrance is nothing other than grande!

Celebration dresses can fall into several categories such as formal, casual, cocktail or bridal. Selecting the proper dress for the evening can mean the difference between having an enjoyable night or a memorable FAIL! When finding the perfect party dress, quite a few factors should be considered.

Things to Consider
Being aware of the kind of event you are attending is definitely the first step for selecting the perfect dress. Is there a dress code? Will it be outside? What it the expected weather? Is there a theme? Not wearing white to a wedding or something too revealing to a company event are great examples of what NOT to do. On the other had, being too jazzy at an evening event being held outside or that is family-oriented may make you uncomfortable and question if you want to sit all night out of fear of ruining your new dress or even worse, giving a free show! Eekk!

The dress you choose is usually a reflection of you. This piece should highlight your best features and compliment your skin tone and eye color. You should feel comfortable enough to dance, sit, stand, and pose for pictures without fear of how they will translate onto Facebook. And if it is really a winner, you will feel like a celebrity the minute you slide it on! In short, put your best "assets" forward. ;-)

Deep hues are terrific to suit your needs if you would like an innovative or more mature look, while bright colors like pink and yellow are perfect for Spring and help to give off a more youthful appearance. Decide if you want to blend in or stand out on your big night by choosing a more daring, form-fitting dress, something retro, short, or sassy! Also, when wearing hip-hugging garbs be sure to hide undergarment lines as much as possible and give your natural shape a boost with the use of slimming wear and/or body shapers such as Spanx.

Selecting the right accessories have the ability to compliment your dress perfectly and take it to the next level! The key here is to remember to never overdue it, as this could cause you to look tacky and/or cheap. A wise person once said, "Sometimes less is more." Remember, this is often the case. Give thought to your personal style, the design and color of your dress, the event, and what type of statement you are trying to make. Whether we want to embrace it or not, every outfit says something about us. Remember, embellishments like sequins and rhinestones can make your dress look classy, expensive and sheek, but will also require fewer additions when its time to accessorize. And last, but definitely not least, choosing the correct hairstyle will add the finishing touch to your glamorous ensemble.
